Littleham Community Village Hall is appealing for local businesses to come forward to help fix its leaking roof.

The bad weather and heavy rain East Devon has seen over the past few weeks has meant that the roof has suffered a hole. On Tuesday, May 9, East Devon suffered heavy rain which lead to some localised flooding in the area, the heavy rain was too much for the old roof on the community hall to survive.

Committee members of Littleham Community Village Hall is appealing for local businesses who could possibly come forward to give them a qoute for the works.

Littleham Village Community Hall is an venue for parties and events in the heart of Littleham village in Exmouth. Suiting a wide range of purposes, the village hall provides a lovely environment for functions, party or classes. The hall is booked out most weekdays and weekends for community events in the village.

The village hall seats up to 100 people and includes a staged area and a small bar near the entrance to the hall. It has a separate kitchen and toilets. There is parking and a large village green with access to the play park.

Regular events include tap, ballet, dance, Littleham family activity centre, Exmouth dog training and archery. One off events include parties, band practice, voting, cream teas and plant sales. The events are still going ahead while the roof is damaged, but commitee emebers would like to get it fixed as soon as they have a reasonable qoute from local contractors who can come and fix the hole. The hall is old, and has been in the heart of the community for many years.
