One man has visited Budleigh Salterton and caught on camera the amazing wildlife on his route.

Ian Kinniburgh visited East Devon on Sunday, April 30 and sent us pictures of his journey walking across the South West Coast Path from Exmouth to Budleigh.

On his journey, he captured on camera Heron's and Swans living on the Lower Otter Restoration Project.

Many thanks to Ian for sending the Journal these pictures.

The Lower Otter Restoration Project is an intertidal habitat creation project delivered by the Environment Agency in partnership with the East Devon Pebblebed Heaths Conservation Trust and Clinton Devon Estates.

It is part of a cross-border initiative called ‘Promoting Adaptation to Changing Coasts’ (PACCo) working with partners in the Saâne Valley in Normandy (France) to share learning on the delivery of climate change adaptation projects.

The Lower Otter Restoration Project has been majority funded by the UK government, with £8.5 million of co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the Interreg V A France (Channel) England programme (2021 to 2023).
