The Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival Spring weekend took place last weekend at the St Peter's Church.

Now in its 15th year, the event hosted BBC broadcasters and journalists David Dimbleby and Ed Stourton; Dame Kate Bingham, who led the Covid vaccine taskforce; architectural engineer Roma Agrawal; and Esme Young, designer and lead judge on The Great British Sewing Bee.

Sue Briggs, festival chair, said: “All of the authors were amazing; they each brought something very different, but were all so inspiring. We had fantastic audiences at St Peter’s Church throughout.

“We’re very lucky to have a team of committed volunteers who enable us to put on both our Spring Weekend event and our longer September festival, and I’d like to say a huge thank you to them. Thanks also to our artistic director Annie Ashworth who always comes up with an interesting range of authors and speakers. Thanks also to our visiting authors, and of course, to our festival friends, audiences and sponsors.”

Tickets for the September festival go on sale in the summer. For more information visit budlitfest.org.uk
