The fancy dress theme of this year’s Beautiful Days festival will be ‘out of this world’.

Organisers say the optional dress code for the last day of the festival will be ‘extra-terrestrial and intergalactic .... supernatural, alien, fantastical or mythical’.

Beautiful Days will take place at Escot near Ottery St Mary from Friday, August 18 until Sunday 20 – and 85 per cent of the tickets have already been sold.

Headline acts for the main stage include Suede, Primal Scream, Johnny Marr, The Proclaimers and The Waterboys.

The Big Top will feature Indigo Girls, The Dead South, the Rock Orchestra and The Alarm, while the Little Big Top will host DJs and bands including Gok Wan, My Baby, Ozric Tentacles and Big Fish Little Fish.

The seated Theatre Tent will play host to companies and shows including An Evening Without Kate Bush, Rubbish Shakespeare Company, Just4funk And The Hip Hop Collective, Peter Clifford - Magic Man, Le Navet Bete, Dan The Hat, Nutty Noah, Entertainingly Different and many more still to be announced.
