A road sweeper caught fire in Lympstone village this morning (Thursda, February 16).
The fire started at around 8am this morning. One crew from Exmouth was called out and found the vehicle 'well alight'.
The vehicle was left 70 per cent damaged, and a small amount of hydraulic oil was spilt on the road around where the accident happened.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus, two hose jets, one triple extension ladder and one thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
The fire is believed to have been accidental. The scene has now been handed to Devon County Council.
