Exmouth in Bloom held their last working party of January last weekend, with a morning at the Sensory Garden.

They found that the district council’s Streetscene team had already visited during the week and had mowed the grass and edged up the borders.

The In Bloom group did some weeding, tidied up frost-damaged plants, scraped moss from the walkway behind the Pavilion Theatre and swept up sand that had blown from the beach and gathered between the pavement and the wall and down the steps to the garden.

They then moved on to the Alexander Terrace area where they spruced up the boat and the planted areas and swept more sand from the walkways.

Exmouth in Bloom said it was “All in all a very happy and satisfying morning for 15 of the Blue Team who enjoyed a warm (double figures) ‘springlike’ morning and views of a calm sea.”

The team have also thanked Exmouth Town Council and Devon Signs for the new signs on the roads at the three entrances to Exmouth, welcoming visitors to a Gold Britain in Bloom winner and Fairtrade town.
