Hello! Exmouth, the langauge school, is on the lookout for help from local businesses and families who can host international students.
While the majority of hosts are Exmouth-based, it is looking to widen the bracket to Lympstone and Budleigh Salterton and is always on the lookout for more hosts.
Students travel to improve their English and spending time with the hosts is a huge part of their experience.
Alongside this, they are constantly on the lookout for local businesses to get involved, whether this is kindly offering discounts to hosts or taking part in the ‘Business Insight’ scheme where students get to see behind the scenes of the business and meet the manager.
The company is all about helping international students improve their English skills.
Hello! Exmouth says it has 'historically welcomed 3,000 students a year to the town, bringing fresh money to the economy, local businesses, and hosts and are excited to be able to do again'.
A spokesman for the school said: "2020 saw a colourful rebranding for us, transitioning from Mountlands to Hello! Exmouth.
"This move, we feel, represents our outlook at the school, our vibrant staff and teachers, and of course, our wonderful seaside town.
"Exmouth is a place to be proud of, with many excellent independent businesses and a beautiful beach that other towns should be envious of.
"Having these assets is a selling point when marketing the language school around Europe.
"But some of the most important cogs in our school’s wheel are the host community. Providing a relaxing home environment, our hosts play a key part in students returning year after year.
"We offer all of our junior students full board accommodation with native-speaking English homestay providers, all within a maximum 30 minute walk or 20 minute bus ride.
Hello! Exmouth is keen to support Exmouth and help this vibrant seaside town rightfully earn its place on the map as a destination for not only people in this country but from around the world."
