East Devon police officer charged with rape
A Devon and Cornwall Police officer from East Devon has been charged with rape.
Police Constable Kane Haywood will appear at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Wednesday, January 18).
PC Haywood, aged 29, is charged with two counts of rape of a woman aged 16 years or over and sexual assault by penetration.
The charges relate to alleged incidents in Exeter in March 2021.
PC Haywood is currently suspended from duty.
