Exmouth's choral society is warming up for its next concert, which the choir say will 'provide a rare opportunity for classical music fans in the town.'
Taking place on the Saturday January 28 at 7pm at the Holy Trinity Church, Exmouth. The choir is getting ready to join a professional orchestra and well-known local soloists to perform J.S.Bach’s St John Passion.
Final preparations are now taking place under the expert baton of conductor and musical director Laurence Blyth, who has led the singers since taking over in 2010.
A spokesman for Exmouth Choral Society said: “It’s a great privilege to be able to bring this amazing music to the people of Exmouth. The choir has been at the heart of cultural life in the town since the 1890s, and we’re all proud to be able to continue the great tradition of community choral singing in this part of Devon”.
