Exmouth Youth Theatre's next production due to take place in the summer will be School of Rock - The Musical.

Exmouth Youth Theatre, with a cast of more than 40 local young performers will take to the stage at Exmouth Pavillion from Monday June 20 to Saturday June 24 at 7.30pm with a matinee performance on Saturday afternoon at 2.30pm.

The Musical will be based on the hit movie from 2003 starring Jack Black and the hit West End & Broadway production, with a new score from Andrew Lloyd Webber.

School of Rock follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A-students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. But can he get them to the Battle of the Bands without their parents and the school’s headmistress finding out.

A spokesman for Exmouth Pavillion said: "Come and support this talented group of young performers, awarded Best Community Group in the Exmouth Business Awards 2021.
