A planning application has been approved to transform the existing Greggs shop into a hot food takeaway, however it is unclear whether Papa Johns will now take over.
Greggs confirmed earlier this year, it would be moving out of its existing premises, to an alternative location, but 'had no further information at this stage of the application.'
The previous application stated Papa Johns would move into the shop, however the transformed premises will be classed as sui generis, meaning whoever buys the building can move in without having to submit another planning application.
Papa Johns previously refused to comment on their plans to open a branch in Exmouth town centre.
