OTTERTON Mill has been crowned the top place in Britain to have a cream tea.
The mill won the number-one slot in the list of top-ten places in Devon and Cornwall - with its organic scones getting a special mention.
Southern Cross, in Newton Poppleford was in sixth place and the Georgian Tea Room, at Topsham, was seventh.
Mill owner Caroline Spiller said: "We are delighted to be recognised again for the quality of our food and for contributing in a small way to the great quality of life in the South West.
