FORMER European Tour golfer Roger Winchester - a certified David Leadbetter instructor - has linked up with Woodbury Park Golf Club to offer private one-to-one tuition to local players.

Sidmouth born and bred Roger, who, at 18, became the second youngest player ever to win the English Amateur Championship - behind Nick Faldo - has earned his credentials in the professional game.

In his first event as a professional on the European Tour, Roger made an impressive debut, finishing fourth in the Portuguese Open. He went on to win the Grenoble Open and, the following winter, finished sixth on the Safari Tour.

Now, after numerous top 10 finishes, Roger is sharing his vast experience of the game and is ready to help hone local players' games.

During his career, Roger has worked with some of the world's finest instructors, including David Leadbetter, Dr Bob Rotella and Dave Pelz.

David Leadbetter says:?"I have known and worked with Roger since his college days in the US. Roger has been a fine player for many years - in the amateur and professional ranks, and has always been a very keen student of the swing.

"Roger is now applying his great knowledge, acquired over the past 20-plus years, to helping golfers of all levels perform to their great potential and enjoy the game more."
