THE conversion of two town centre properties has been supported by town hall planners at their meeting last week.
The owner of 38 Halsdon Road saw his bid to get the property converted into two self contained flats backed.
While amended plans to convert part of 42a St Andrews Road, currently a hairdressers, into a two bedroom ground floor apartment were also supported.
These plans, for The New Creations Hair Salon, were originally recommended for objection by town planners.
And if approved by the district council the business will remain open. The work would take up 'only a few metres' of the hairdressers, and would not effect the business.
Both plans will now be considered by district planners.
