THE Budleigh Salterton branch of Cancer Research UK is offering food for a fiver to raise much-needed funds for the charity.
The frugal lunch of home-made soup, French bread, apple pie and cream will be held on Saturday February 27, from 11.30am until 2pm, at Budleigh Salterton's Public Hall.
There will be various stalls on the day including jewellery, books and a tombola.
Jolyon Hunt, chairman of the Budleigh Salterton committee, said: "Everyone is invited to come along and enjoy top class fare and help raise vital funds for cancer research.
"I am also appealing for unwanted gifts, for raffles and tombola, good quality paperback books and unwanted costume jewellery that are always a feature at our events.
"Please have a look around for unwanted items, we are in short supply"
