KIND-HEARTED Topsham fundraisers have helped collect thousands of pounds for the Haiti earthquake appeal.
Visitors to Darts Farm helped members from Exeter Rotary Club gather 2,500 last month.
A spokesperson for the club said: "That is more than enough for five (shelter) boxes, containing bedding, water containers and utensils for 50 people."
Topsham School raised 871 for the appeal. Pupils took part in a sponsored silence and raised money from a raffle, a Tea for Haiti event and by having a non-uniform day."
It is estimated the number of people killed in the earthquake, Haiti's worst in two centuries, has risen to more than 150,000.
