POLICE community support officer Donna Baker last month held surgeries in Lympstone, Woodbury, Woodbury Salterton, Clyst St George, Clyst St Mary and Farringdon, giving people the chance to raise any issues or concerns.
Speeding issues were the main concerns raised by residents, she said.
PCSO Baker said: "The police are working to increase the speed checks whilst looking to our partners in the county highways department to assist where required.
"As part of this work we are also in the process of setting up a local Community Speed Watch, which we hope to be able to report further on in a couple of months.
"It was good to meet those people who attended and particularly good to hear from one resident who sang the praises of the PACT - Partners and Communities Together - process."
