Two Exmouth mechanics are remaining modest about heroically saving a dog locked in a hot car from certain death.
Three-year-old Labrador, Archie, was last Thursday accidentally locked in his owner Louise Perkin’s car on a scorching hot day after she mistakenly left her keys inside the boot.
Mechanics Gary Dart, 31, and Aaron Sherman, 25, from Car and Commercial Services, in Victoria Road, freed Archie.
Builder’s wife Louise, 47, who has owned Archie since he was a pup, said:“I would like to thank tnicshem so much, they are true gents.
“I would also like to thank the local police for ringing back to check we were okay.”
Gary Dart said: “We are not really heroes. We were just doing our job. We just had the right equipment, so it only took about ten minutes.”
