FIVE-year-old old schoolboy James Lowrie has been praised by Mp Hugo Swire for his stand against litterbugs in Exmouth.
James was praised by the district council and his school for filling carrier bags with litter as he takes a short journey, along with his mum, Julia, from his home in Salterton Road to Marpool Primary, in Moorfield Road.
Mr Swire said: “James is a real credit to the community and I really wanted to meet him.
“We must ensure that the example he has set is copied country wide.
“This is totally in keeping with the Government’s vision of the Big Society where the responsible action of an individual goes on to benefit a wider society.”
