YOUNG actors from Exmouth Community College have been recreating life in a working class area during the governmental reign of former PM Margaret Thatcher.
GCSE and A Level theatre students took to the stage to perform the production of Road last week, a play, written in 1986 focusing on a time of high unemployment in the North of England.
Directed by teachers Sally Wright, Jez Turner and Roxanne Henry, the show was performed in front of a bumper audience each night from Tuesday through until Friday, February 18.
The play has won a number of awards and was voted 36th in the top 40 Best Plays of the 20th Century in a poll by the Royal National Theatre.
