Have our (Conservative) town planners created a record by breaking their election promises two days before the election?
They gave urgent attention to McCarthy and Stone’s application for Seacroft Hall on three successive meetings, finally giving approval on May 3.
Your report quotes the deputy mayor as saying they might as well knock down the traditional villa since they were doing the same with the more modern, less appropriate buildings.
There appears to be no mention that it is in a ‘conservation’ area, nor that their party is promising to strive for quality family housing on the remaining Rolle College sites. How many are now left? And how long before the Maer Valley and St Johns Wood are built on, also contrary to promises?
