Chemistry, biology, maths and history A Level student Abbey has sat in the UKYP for three years and got involved through the School Council.

She said: “I’m glad that I got in this year because my friend Julian did as well, which means we can work together on campaigns like we did in my first year.

“I’m passionate about improving the issues affecting young people and I’m a good public speaker.

“I believe in improving facilities like clubs, youth clubs, sports centres, free gym membership, skate parks, and parks in general. This year we’re starting a two-year term as Members of the Youth Parliament and I think that will make a big difference. I have high hopes for what will be achieved over these two years.”
