Church supporters brought a splash of colour to Woodbury Salterton for the village’s first ever flower festival.
The inside of Holy Trinity Church was decorated with a range of displays around the theme of ‘Congratulations and Celebrations’, including a display from the Woodbury Twinning Association and a display marking 90 years of the Royal British Legion.
A children’s competition was also held, where children were asked to arrange flowers in a tea cup and saucer.
Tea and cakes were also sold, and the event raised 600 for Friends of Holy Trinity Church.
Organiser Sheila Gerdes said: “There was a lot going on, and the money we raised was thanks to the goodwill of a lot of people.
“It’s the first time we’ve ever done it, and people complimented us on our high standards, so we might do it again!”
