Three fire crews were called to Exmouth on Wednesday evening after a small fire broke out in the kitchen of a seafront flat
Firefighters were called to an Exmouth seafront flat on Wednesday evening following a report a fire had broken out in a ground floor kitchen.
When fire crews from Exmouth and Exeter arrived at Morton Crescent, along with the aerial platform, they found a fire involving a grill pan had already been extinguished.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Upon arrival, the first crew in attendance confirmed a small fire had occurred in the kitchen of a ground floor flat involving a grill pan. The fire was out on arrival.
“Crews used natural ventilation to clear the smoke and ensured the area was safe before leaving.”
