The Herald recently reported the latest cliff fall, which saw up to 1,000 tons of earth break away and crash on to the pebble beach. This follows a number of collapses in the last few months. At the time, some residents said they thought it was the biggest fall they had seen and that there have been more in the past four months than in the last few years.
