Brothers from Lympstone who both live with autism have completed a walking challenge to raise awareness of the condition.
Harry and Hayden Hardman, 14 and 11 respectively, set themselves a challenge to walk seven kilometres in a bid to raise funds for the National Autistic Society.
They ended up walking 10km – around Otterton, Budleigh Salterton and Lympstone – and raised £530.
Their mum Karen told the Journal, the brothers, who both attend the Rochard Manor School in Dawlish, just want to raise awareness of the condition.
She said: “They are very close brothers along with our dog Popsy who is a huge factor in this as she helps the boys with awareness of emotions, empathy and comfort.
“We really wanted to raise awareness, understanding and acceptance and that not all disabilities are visible so just be kind to each other.
“We are very proud of them for wanting to do this – they both have a heart of gold.”
