27/2/09: TRIBUTES have been pouring in for a 47-year-old Somerset woman who died when she plunged 60 feet from cliffs at Budleigh Salterton in a freak accident.
Mother-of-two Marianne Sebire, from Trull, near Taunton, died 12 days ago after falling from the cliff top near the town's war memorial when she stooped to pick up a feather and fell down the cliff on to the concrete path below.
Mrs Sebire had been walking with her brother, John, when tragedy struck.
She suffered serious head injuries in the fall and was airlifted to Dorset County Hospital, in Dorchester, where she died the following day.
Divorced Mrs Sebire, originally from Cardiff, leaves two sons, David and Michael, two brothers, two sisters and her parents.
Her sister, Clare Cheek, said: "We were devastated, but at least we were with her in hospital, although she never regained consciousness.
"She was a kind and friendly person who went out of her way to help people.
"She would help anyone, particularly people with problems."
An inquest into Mrs Sebire's death was last week opened and adjourned at West Dorset Coroners Court.
