Lympstone Parish Council is urging villagers to get involved with the consultation over plans to extend the village’s planning conservation area.

The extension is being proposed by East Devon District Council as part of a review, and would see the area extended in two areas – along the village’s shoreline, and along Longmeadow Road to the Saddlers Arms.

The proposal will be discussed at the parish council’s next meeting, on Monday at 7.30pm, at the village hall, and villagers are invited to make their views known.

The proposals can be seen online at www.eastdevon.gov.uk/conservation, and villagers are able to respond by emailing sguy@eastdevon.gov.uk or by writing to Stephen Guy, principal conservation officer, East Devon District Council, Knowle, Sidmouth, EX10 8HL. The consultation lasts until the end of April.
