Plans to create 10 apartments at a property in Exmouth have been backed by town planners.
The plan will involve the conversion and extension of 4 Elwyn Road and the provision of car parking and cycle storage.
When the proposal was considered by Exmouth Town Council’s planning committee, Councillor Bill Nash described the existing building as ‘a very beautiful house’, but said: “The good news is the street elevation doesn’t alter – it still looks like the original house, and has been approved by The Avenue Residents’ Association as a good example for doing a conversion.”
The committee voted to support. East Devon District Council will decide on permission.
