Plans to build 10 new homes on the site of a former Exmouth health and social care facility have been opposed by town planners.
The scheme concerns the site of the Doyle Centre, Norton Place.
At this week’s Exmouth Town Council planning committee meeting, councillors voted to object to the scheme, saying that under the East Devon Local Plan for development, the site had been allocated for employment or non-residential use, and was therefore not suitable for housing.
East Devon District Council will make the final decision on whether to grant planning permission.
