AN Exmouth-based company, Marketing Source, has just won a massive contract to supply a major international bank.

They have successfully won a five-way battle against other firms to provide Spanish bank Santander with the technology and creative expertise for their e-mail from next year.

The company was set up in 2005 by its managing director, Stuart Robb, and has its offices in The Strand.

The work will help the bank increase its communication with customers through email.

Mr Robb said they needed a solution that enabled them to send highly secure and fast email communications to millions of customers at the press of a button.

Mr Robb said: “This is fantastic news for Marketing Source; we are able to offer Santander a unique and truly bespoke solution to enable them to successfully implement their email customer communications.

“We have been developing our email technologies for some time and, as a smaller company, it’s testament to our technological know-how that we were able to beat our larger competitors. We are looking forward to getting started and working together.”

Guy Looker, Marketing Source’s sales director, said: “We are all delighted and very excited to have won the Santander email deployment contract. It’s the culmination of a lot of hard work from everyone involved and I’m looking forward to a very proactive and long lasting relationship with all the teams at Santander.”

Head of customer relationship marketing campaigns for Santander Rob McCarthy said: “Marketing Source’s unique approach to email broadcasting set them apart from the other companies in the pitch process; we believe the Marketing Source team have the technological expertise to help us deliver a really strong email communications programme.”
