Amended plans to create nine new apartments in Littleham have not been backed by Exmouth Town Council.
The plan would see the apartments built at 6 Portland Avenue, along with car and cycle parking. The plan has been revised to change the size of the rear extension, and remove a proposed double garage.
Town councillors said they still objected to the plan, on the grounds of excessive height, massing and loss of light to a neighbouring property.
They also recommended the plan be referred to East Devon District Council’s development management committee, which will now consider the application.
