East Devon planners have decided a site inspection is needed before they can rule on plans to build 15 homes in Woodbury.
East Devon District Council’s development management committee was due to rule this week on a scheme to build the homes – ten of which would be classed as affordable – on land adjacent to Primley in Town Lane.
Planning officers had recommended that the plan should be approved, but councillors felt that before they could make a decision, they needed to see the site for themselves.
Woodbury Parish Council has previously opposed the scheme, due to concerns including traffic congestion and a lack of pedestrian facilities in Town Lane, and about the need for housing.
