Exmouth RNLI went to the aid of a yacht in difficulty just off the seafront on Saturday, August 24.

The lifeboat crew were alerted by HM Coastguard just after 3pm.

The vessel had reportedly suffered loss of power and difficulty with its rigging.

The inshore lifeboat George Bearman II went to the scene, with Roger Jackson at the helm and crew David Preece and Charlie Allen. They towed the yacht to the visitors' moorings at Exmouth Marina so that repairs could be made.

No-one was hurt and the inshore lifeboat was back at the station by 4pm.
