The annual Boxing Day fun run returns this year and will again be organised by one of the town’s rotary clubs.

Entrants will gather at Ocean, in The Esplanade, at around 10.15am for registration before a pre-run warm up.

The starting gun, fired by town mayor Councillor
Jeff Trail, will signify
the start of the three-mile event with participants heading along the seafront towards the Geoneedle at Orcombe Point.

They will then head back to Ocean.

This year’s event will be the 13th organised by the Rotary Club of Exmouth Raleigh.

More than 400 people took part last year.

A spokesperson for the
club said: “Whatever your
age and whether you are a serious runner or just
want to work off some of the Christmas excesses
then come along, have
some fun and help
Rotary raise money for good causes within our community.”

Entry costs £5 for adults and £2.50 for children.
