East Budleigh Reserves produced a gritty and determined second half display to register their tenth league the top of Division 4 after harshly being reduced to ten men.

Budleigh took the lead against visitors Culm United on five minutes, Dan Atkinson heading in a Tom Christian free-kick. The Jays doubled their advantage 15 minutes later, Nathan Penhallurick with a superb run and cross that picked out Ben Wilks who scored at the far post.

Culm scored from a set piece of their own to reduce the arrears on the half hour and East Budleigh had to survive a red card before securing the points.

East Budleigh first X1 were beaten 3-2 at Newton St Cyres in the East Devon Cup. Goals from Rian Hill and Adam Wilkinson were not enough as the home side progressed. Both Wilkinson and Nick Tweedie did well, whilst stand-in goalkeeper Joe Day made some good first-half saves.
