Steve Knightley – the songwriting force from the English folk group Show of Hands – is to perform a solo show at Exmouth’s Ocean at 7.30pm on Friday, September 29.

And we’ve got a pair of tickets to give away in our easy-to-enter competition!

The gig - a fundraiser for the Exmouth RNLI – includes a support set by The Exmouth Shanty Men.

“This is a chance to see Steve Knightley performing his solo Landlocked tour,” says a concert organiser.

“One half of the evening will feature original and traditional songs of the land, and the second half will draw on his nautical themes. In addition proceeds from this concert will go to support the fantastic work of Exmouth RNLI.

Knightley has been rated as one of England’s greatest singer-songwriters. His songs include Country Life, Tall Ships, Roots, Santiago and Cousin Jack.

Knightley will be supported by The Exmouth Shanty Men, who will bring ‘their own brand of jiggery pokery to the evening’.

Tickets are £19 (adults), and £10 (under 16s), available at www.exmouthshantymen.com and with cheque or cash at the Exmouth RNLI Lifeboat House shop.
