Archant

Musicians Kevin Dempsey and Rosie Carson will be performing at Axmouth Church, as part of the Villages in Action series.

In his long perfroming career, Kevin has played and sung solo, and in dozens of bands from Percy Sledge to Whippersnapper.

A guitarist, singer, songwriter and record producer, his wide range of experience in the UK and the USA provides the bedrock for his unique range of skills.

Rosie Carson, 19, began playing fiddle at the Riley School of Irish Music in Cincinnati USA, when she was eight and went on to study with Seamus Connelly, Liz Carroll, Liz Kane and Oisin Mac Diarmada.

She has won national competitions for both fiddle and voice.

With Rosie’s fiddle and beautiful singing and Kevin’s guitar, banjo and vocal, these are two are regarded as outstanding musicians, separated by a generation and maybe a culture, but certainly not by musical ability.

The pair will perform at St Michael’s Church, Axmouth, on Friday, November 16, at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £8 for adults, children cost £6 and they are available by calling 01297 20679.
