Top folk artist in Northleigh

One of the best folk singers and song writers around, Steve Tilston, will be perfroming at Northleigh Village Hall next month.

He was the winner at the BBC Radio Two Folk Awards 2012 for the best original song, which was awarded for the title track of his album The Reckoning.

He has been described as “an artist of stylistic versatility and consummate musicality, a complete guitarist, a singer/song writer of rare talent and absurdly accomplished”.

He is one of the most celebrated song-smiths, with many of his songs adopted into the tradition.

He will be playing at Northleigh Village Hall on Saturday, February 9, at 8pm, in a gig organised by Villages in Action.

Adult tickets cost £8.50, children £4 and family tickets cost £20, call 01404 831476.
