The London Philharmonic Skiffle Orchestra (LPSO) are a multi-instrumental/vocal four piece comedy show band, performing international music with high energy and the emphasis on fun.
Their show comprises comic songs and routines, many props, costume changes and audience participation, but it is all laced together with fine musicianship and quickfire surprises. Featured instruments include fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar, ukulele, trumpet, sousaphone, harmonica, kazoo, suitcase, saucepan lids, washboard and a musical toilet! Influences range from Louisiana to Cairo, the Russian Steppes to Donegal, Music Hall to Mozart and Soho coffee bars to Glasgow! Zany tuneful mayhem at its best !
