Rehearsals are now well under way for the next production by the Honiton Pantomime Society.
Over the period of Sunday, February 17 to Saturday, February 23, there will be six performances of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.
Ali Baba, the poor, righteous man, unsuccessfully combats the evil Al Raschid and his Forty Thieves.
He is helped by the lovelorn Dame, Cascara and Tinbad, a tailor so clever he can sew together the dismembered body of Kassim, Ali’s rich, miserly brother.
There is the beautiful slave girl Marsaina and the good and evil spirits Morgana and her adversary Avarice.
The marriage of Marsaina to Ali’s son Haroun provides the perfect happy ending.
The performances will take place at Honiton Community College and tickets have gone on sale at the Honiton Toy Shop.
Tickets will cost £6.50 for evening performances and £5 for matinees.
