Honiton Folk Dance Club will be holding a Valentine Dance in aid of the British Heart Foundation, next week.
The event will be held at Offwell Village Hall, at 8pm, on Monday, February 13.
It is particularly fitting that dancing provides exercise and relaxation, both of which are good for the heart.
The BHF colours of red and white are the same as those usually used to represent Valentine’s Day, therefore dancers are encouraged to dress in red and white.
Free refreshments will be served along with a grand raffle manned by British Heart Foundation Supporters.
The event is being sponsored by local businesses including Otter Inn Weston, Honiton, Hare and Hounds, Dilly’s Florist, Honiton, Complete Meats of Honiton, and Tesco.
Organisers are hoping that there will be lots of folk going to enjoy the evening out and support a worthwhile cause.
Entry is only £3.50 while the raffle tickets are £1 each. Dancing will be to the music of the very popular Honiton-based Amycrofters Band with caller Jane Thomas.
