Charity evening for Macmillan at Hembury Court

Robert and Mandy Persey at East Devon’s award-winning Hembury Court are hosting a charity festive evening to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support in December.

Visitors can go along and get into the Christmas spirit with carol singing in the beautifully decorated Oak Cruck and warm up with mugs of hot chocolate and mince pies.

There will be a wonderful selection of food and drink to try from local producers as well as various crafts to buy.

As part of the evening’s entertainment, enjoy a master class on flower arranging to decorate your home for Christmas.

There will be a raffle on the night with luxury prizes to be won including a half day West Country Land Rover Experience for two people.

All the proceeds will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Commenting on this charity festive evening, Angela Lowe, fundraising manager for Devon said: “We are delighted that Robert and Mandy are hosting this event on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support and are really looking forward to a fun evening.

“The funds raised will make a big difference to people living locally who have cancer. Every £25 raised will pay for an hour’s nursing care.”

Macmillan Cancer Support is the chosen charity of Premier Cottages, which is an organisation of independent self-catering holiday cottage owners, including Hembury Court, Broadhembury, brought together by the shared aim of providing the very highest quality self-catering holiday accommodation.

The fundraiser is set to take place on Wednesday, December 12, from 6pm. Tickets cost £3 for adults and entry for children is free.
