Flashback: One act play festival winners at the Blackmore Theatre 2015.

The Exmouth Amateur One-act Festival is back.

This year’s festival takes place at the Blackmore Theatre from Monday, April 9 to Saturday, April 14. Weekday performances start at 7.30pm, while Saturday’s performance starts at 7pm.

“This is the preliminary round of the western division of the All England Theatre Festival 2018,” said Trevor Brice of the Exmouth Players.

“Will we see one of the drama groups taking part in our festival go through to the western semi- finals and then through to the English final in June this year, and ultimately representing England in the all-British final in July?

“Please come and support this year’s participating drama groups and see which of them you think deserve to go through to the semis.

“Better still, why not vote on all the classes? To vote you will need to purchase a season ticket and attend all the week’s performances.”

Professional adjudicator Sonia Woolley GoDA will judge the performances.

“On the final night, the adjudicator announces the winners and runners-up in each class and announces the winner and runner up and the group going through.”

Some plays may be of a sensitive nature and/or unsuitable for certain age groups.

Tickets are £10 (under 16s £5). Week season tickets: £50 (under 16s £25). To book, call Ticketline 07484 509514.

For more information about the festival, visit or Blackmore Theatre Facebook Page.
