Classical music in Budleigh

Classical music in Budleigh

Archant

Guitar and flute duo Appassionata (Alex Knight- guitar and Suki Trussler- flute) are to play a concert at The Temple Methodist Church, Budleigh Salterton on Wednesday, September 5, at 7.30pm.

This will be a special treat following the success of Alex’s solo classical guitar concert during the Budleigh Music Festival back in July which drew a full audience.

In this concert Suki and Alex will weave magic as they combine the beautiful tones of the instruments, playing a rich and varied programme that brings together sounds from early baroque and classical through to more contemporary music aswell as some of their own material.

The programme will include composers such as Bach, Vivaldi, Handel, Albeniz, Scarlatti, Granados, Faure, Ibert, Dompierre and Piazzolla among others.

Tickets are £10 on the door or in advance - 01364 644400 / 0789 643 8242.

Doors open at 7pm.

Alex and Suki are based in Devon but their recorded music and live concerts have been experienced globally, with particular success in the Far East- Suki’s flute playing was the theme music on the Japanese news for a year and Alex has toured extensively in Japan and Korea. Their recorded music and original compositions have been used in film and TV and have been played to Princess Anne and Barack Obama.
