For those new to Otter Vale Motor Cycle Club, it was formed in 1928 and over the years ran trials, scrambles, grass track and hill climbs.
At the beginning, one bike would do all disciplines, change the tyres, gears and sprockets and away you went but, in recent years scrambles (or moto cross) and trials were the only two disciplines and, from about 10 years ago, it became just trials which the club concentrate on.
Most trials classes are catered for, youth (Seven to 16 year olds), twinshocks, pre-65s, over-50, novice, clubman, and experts, with the courses marked out to each classes abilities.
The next event is the opening round of the ACU Luscombe Suzuki Leeds British Class A and B Youth championship on March 18 at Wolversleigh Farm, Sidbury, EX10 0QH. Rod Broom will again lay out the 20 sections of the two lap event with all the right ingredients of streams, gullies and mud, plus climbs. The event will start at 10am.
Entries will close before Sunday, March 10. The Otter Vale MCC.website is www.ottervalemcc.org.uk and further details can be found on there.
