Indoor bowls generic picture

Woodbury Short Mat Bowls Club held a Christmas Fun Night at Woodbury Village Hall.

The event was well supported by current Woodbury members, past members and invited guests from Broadclyst Short Mat Bowls Club.

The evening commenced with ‘imaginative’ bowling games, provided by Arthur and Janet Cuff, which should have allowed members to demonstrate their high standards of bowling expertise, but instead provided much fun, laughter and frustration, with Edwin White being the eventual winner.

This was followed by a buffet meal and the group were bowled over by the quantity and quality of food provided by members.

All agreed that the Fun Night had been a cracker of an evening and had provided an excellent start to the festive activities.

Woodbury Short Mat Bowls Club meet at 7pm every first, third and fourth Tuesday and every second Wednesday of the month at Woodbury Village and would welcome new members.
