Woodbury and District Skittles league mourns the loss of a dear president.

11:00 31 July 2014

It is with sadness I have to report the death of E J (Jim) Pearcy, the president of the Woodbury and District Skittles Association, writes SpursTom.

Jim passed away on Friday, July 18, following a heart attack.

He was a stalwart of the game for many years, and he will be remembered for his kindness, enthusiasm and willingness to help and encourage others.

Our deepest sympathy goes to his family and also the management committee of WDSA for their loss.

With last season’s promotion and relegation issues completed, Leagues fixtures for the 2014-2015 season have been published to commence Monday, September 15.

There are 59 teams registered, but, unfortunately missing from that list are two teams from the Budleigh Salterton contingent.

Ravens, from the football club and Terror Pins, from the Feathers Inn have disbanded, the latter means Mr T (C ‘Tom’ Thomas) is looking for someone to play for.

If your team is looking for a player please contact me on 07961181061, thank you.
