Withycombe RFC were thrilled to welcome Cornish Pirates fly half Kieran Hallett to Raleigh Park for a kicking master class. Hallett, the Pirates leading point’s scorer last year, took two sessions.
The first for the Under-11s and Under-12s and the second for the Under-16s through to senior players.
Hallett was presented with a Withycombe plaque by Kieran Long and the Withy Under-8 squad and the plaque now has a home in the Pirates’ Penzance clubhouse.
Hallett said: “The youngsters from the 11s and 12s did really well and hopefully they learnt new skills. They were attentive, well behaved, polite and a great example for the junior section of the club. They are learning the fundamental pillars that grass roots rugby is built upon and they are a credit to those in charge of them and it was my pleasure to work with them.”
