Topsham St James Girls were victorious in their final match of the season.
The Saints took on Paignton in an Under-13 encounter and batted first.
All of the pairs contributed to the overall score. However, the main acceleration of the score in the innings came from the combinations of Kathryn Brown and Tilly Gaudion together with Daisy Bishop and Annie Burdick.
The Saints closed on a commanding 279-3.
What followed was an excellent all round bowling and fielding performance that ensured Paignton were unable to pass the total.
Maddie Holified claimed a pair of early wickets and Katy Baylis bowled a tight line to keep the run chase in check.
Disciplined bowling from Molly Dart kept the pressure up and this was backed up with a further wicket from Kathryn Brown as the reply floundered on 263-5 to leave Topsham St James victors by a margin of 16 runs.
Senior players Annie McShane and Anna Lamb put in excellent batting, bowling and fielding performances to set the example for the younger players, which was capped off by seven-year-old Isabelle Baylis taking a wicket (clean bowled) with the last ball of her spell.
